An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
St. Fergus' National School is a mainstream, Catholic school with two special classes for autistic learners. We invite applications for one fixed-term teaching position.
Candidates must hold a certificate to teach RE.
The successful candidate may be assigned to a mainstream class or special education teaching position - the final decision on assignment will be determined by the principal.
Highly desirable requirements include;
-probabtion
- knowledge & experience of teaching pupils with a range of complex needs and multi grade setting
- previous experience in literacy, numeracy and well-being initiatives as well as STEM and Restorative Practices
-a willingness and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Experience in the following would be advantageous;
-Sacrament Preparation
-Station/Team Teaching
-C.L.I.L.
-Restorative Practice
-IT
