Gort Community School has 3 Autism Classes. This role involves ensuring safe transport of children to and from school (autism class) each day. Driver will collect you from the school at H91CK91
Experience Required: Experience of working with children with Special Needs preferable, but not essential. Must be kind, caring, patient and work well with children.
Responsibilities: Accompany/supervise students on their journey to and from school. Ensure children's safety while on the bus and ensure a safe handover with school staff/ parents.
Hours of work:
Morning: Approx. 8:15am – 9:15am
Afternoons: 3.50 pm - 4.50pm. Monday to Thursday, 1.10pm to 2,10pm Fridays.
Please include at least two current referees and their contact details when applying for this position. Bus Escorts are subject to Garda Vetting requirements and completion of the Tusla Children First E-Learning Course. It is a requirement to hold a valid Statutory Declaration and to complete the Form of Undertaking for this position.
Please provide 2 recently written references and evidence of Garda vetting (circular 31/2016). CV by post or email addressed to the secretary of the Board of Management of Gort Community School (recruitment@gortcs.com) by 4pm on Monday the 3rd of August.
