An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This is a fixed term Mainstream class teacher post for 3rd and 4th class (multigrade). Children from our special class will also be integrated into 3rd and 4th. The post will include 1 day per fortnight in another school (St. Fin Barre's NS) in a SET role.
Experience in a multiclass setting and experience in SET are preferable. Good classroom management skills, ICT skills, communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively as part of the staff and team. Working on ones own initiative and demonstration of leadership skills and an interest in taking on and leading initiatives is also preferable.
We are an inclusive school. Candidates should ideally have experience with special educational needs as well as a good ability to challenge high achievers. Understanding of UDL, restorative practice and Relate are also preferable qualities. We highly value inclusion, respect, open communication and collaboration in our school.
