The post is to cover a Maternity Leave
This position will involve working closely with the class teacher and other S.N.As in support of children with special needs. It may require working with one or more children with special needs during the school day. The post may require the successful candidate to work in one of our Autism Classes subject to the decision of the Principal and the changing needs of the School.
The ideal candidate should have experience working with children with additional needs,including Autism, ADHD, Diabetes and Visual Impairments and will demonstrate a calm, empathetic and patient approach. Strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills are essential, along with a flexible attitude and a willingness to learn. Experience of Restorative Practices and RELATE Model is desirable.
The successful applicant will be professional, trustworthy, confidential and passionate about creating a positive, supportive
environment where every child can thrive. Familiarity with inclusive practices, School Support Plans/ACPs, and sensory supports is highly desirable.
