The successful candidate is expected to carry out duties as per circular 0030/2014 and 0032/2026

We are looking for someone who can be flexible and responsive to the needs of the children and the school.

We invite those who are energetic, enthusiastic, can contribute to our team and work on his/her own initiative.

Candidates must be willing to undertake CPD courses which relate to the needs of the children and the school. CPD on autism / Experience working with children with ASD, emotional / behavioural needs, ADHD is desirable as is a QQI Level 5/6 - Special Needs Assistant Qualification.

Applicants should also demonstrate their ability to work as part of a school team under the direction of the class teacher, special education teacher and Principal.

The successful candidate can be allocated to any SNA role in the school at any time, at the discretion of the school principal. This includes mainstream classes as well as our new autism class.

This post as part of our SNA allocation is subject to the periodic reviews which are carried out by the NCSE and the SENO.

Appointment is subject to current Garda Vetting requirements, Occupational Health Screening and satisfactory references.

Applicants who are deemed to be members of the SNA Supplementary Panel with Supplementary panel rights, must furnish a certified copy of a completed Panel Form (PF1) with their application.
