An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
St. Cronan's JNS is looking for 1 full time SNA (School Day: 8:50 - 2:40), 1 x 0.83 (infant day - 8:50 - 1:40) position and 1 x 0.66 (9:20 - 1:30) position
We are a large, happy, inclusive junior school located in Swords with 2 Autism Classes and 20 Mainstream Classes..
Relevant experience working in Autism setting, assisting children with medical needs and with intimate care needs is desirable.
Candidates must be able to work well as part of a team, be responsive and sensitive to arising additional needs of the school, show a willingness to engage in up-skilling/CPD, show flexibility, patience, kindness and care in their day to day duties and contribute positively to the work of our existing team.
Candidates will be expected to undertake Croke Park hours as part of their contract.
Duties as per circular 0032/2026.
Applicants must satisfy all DE appointment criteria.
