An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Camcloon NS are recruiting for one Special Needs Assistant for a fixed term post, covering a Career Break.
The position is for the full school year, for infant hours (0.83 post), starting 26th August 2026.
The successful candidate will be required to work in either the Mainstream or Autism Class settings. Experience of both settings is desirable and would be advantageous.

Camcloon NS is a Catholic Primary school under the patronage of the Archbishop of Tuam - a willingness to uphold and support the Catholic ethos is essential.

The successful candidate will be:

The appointment will be subject to current Garda Vetting requirements and Medmark Occupational Health Screening.
