Applications are invited for the following positions of Special Needs Assistant. St. Mark’s Community School will be opening an ASD class in September 2026.
The successful candidate will support students with additional educational needs in accessing and participating fully in school life and will work collaboratively with teachers, the Additional Educational Needs (AEN) team, school leadership and parents to promote inclusion and student wellbeing. Experience of supporting students with autism and/or working with Students with AEN would be desirable.
Applicants must meet the Department of Education requirements for appointment as a Special Needs Assistant. This appointment is subject to the sanction and approval of the Department of Education; satisfactory Garda Vetting and the position not being required for redeployment purposes.
