Eolas Breise:
Drogheda ABACAS Special School is dedicated to supporting autistic children with complex needs, aged 4 to 18 years. The successful applicant will work under the guidance of the classroom teacher, principal, and clinical director. The school is under the patronage of Autism Ireland
Candidates must have significant experience working with autistic pupils with complex needs in a special school setting. A strong understanding the Relate framework is essential. Experience of using Lámh and AAC are essential. Candidates should be able to demonstrate effective application and implementation of these approaches in practice to support positive outcomes for autistic learners.
Applicants must also hold the qualifications required by the Department of Education and Skills for this position and demonstrate a commitment to continuing professional development (CPD). It is important for candidates to possess the necessary skills to be an effective part of the class/school team.
