An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This is a temporary part-time EAL post for 20 hours per week over 4 days.
EAL language support teachers provide support and reinforcement to the pupil's language learning both in mainstream settings, through team teaching approaches or through support lessons, if required. They may find themselves supporting the pupil's BICS/CALP to varying degrees depending on overall language progression and need.
