An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
We are seeking two dedicated and compassionate Additional Needs Assistants (SNAs) who are committed to supporting the inclusion, wellbeing, and development of children in the school setting.
The two vacancies consist of a fixed-term Job Share position which is on a split week basis (16 hours per week) and a fixed-term part-time position (also 16 hours per week) . Both appointments are for the 2026/2027 academic year.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with additional needs, including autism and ADHD, and will demonstrate a calm, empathetic, and patient approach. Strong communication, teamwork, organisational skills and being capable of working on their own initiative are essential, along with a flexible attitude and a willingness to learn. The successful applicant will be professional, trustworthy, and passionate about creating a positive, supportive environment where every child can thrive. Familiarity with inclusive practices, School Support Plans/IEPs, and sensory supports is highly desirable.
Candidates should be willing to undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses relevant to the needs of the children and the school. Experience and/or training in working with children with ASD, OT needs, and medical care needs is desirable.
