The Board of Management of Old Bawn Community School invites applications for a Teacher of Music to join our staff for the 2026/2027 academic year. A second subject would be an advantage. The position will also includes working with students with additional needs.
Music is a valued part of life in Old Bawn Community School. The school has a strong tradition of music education, complemented by a well-established school musical and choir, which provide students with meaningful opportunities for performance and creative expression. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching and learning in Music and support the continued development of this important area of school life.
Old Bawn Community School is a proud Microsoft Showcase School. Experience with Microsoft Office 365 is desirable, and the successful candidate will have access to training and upskilling opportunities. All students are equipped with their own laptops to support digital learning.
This position is subject to the approval of the Department of Education and Skills and confirmation that it is not required for the 2026 redeployment process. A Garda vetting disclosure and current Teaching Council registration are mandatory.
