The Management Committee of Edel Quinn School, Boghall Road, Bray, Co. Wicklow Roll Number: 20610P invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the post of Principal Teacher to take effect at the conclusion of the recruitment process.
Edel Quinn School is a newly established Special School that will provide education for students with autism and complex needs from 4years of age to 18 years of age.
Edel Quinn School is a Special School under the patronage of the Archbishop of Dublin, Dermot Farrell.
The school will open with Principal, an Administrative Deputy Principal and 6 teaching staff to cater for 6 special classes.
Applicants must be fully registered with the Teaching Council of Ireland under Route 1(Primary), Route 2 (Post-Primary), or Route 4 (Other) and have a minimum of 5 years teaching experience, two of which must be in a recognised primary school or post-primary school within the Republic of Ireland.
Applicants who qualified after Sept 2011, a recognised certificate to teach Religious Education is required. Applicants who qualified pre-Sept 2011, a recognised qualification to teach Religious Education is desirable.

The roles and responsibilities for this post relate to the four domains of leadership and management as specified in Circular 0044/2019: 1. Leading Teaching and Learning 2. Managing the Organisation 3. Leading School Development 4. Developing Leadership Capacity.
