Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Applicants should have experience of supporting pupils with complex care needs, sensory needs, challenging behaviours, communication difficulties and intimate care needs. Knowledge and experience of working with children with autism, including in a special class context, is required.
The successful candidate will be expected to display a strong work ethic, flexibility, enthusiasm and responsiveness to the needs of the children. The ability to work on one’s own initiative and as part of a dedicated team is essential.
SNAs work in both mainstream and special class settings in our school. The setting is subject to change on a regular basis at the discretion of the school principal. Duties are as outlined by the Department of Education circulars.

• Minimum qualifications as per DES Circular 0051/2019
• Satisfactory references
• Garda Vetting requirements
• Occupational Health Screening
Staff are due to return on Tuesday, 25th August for planning.
