Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This is a one year, fixed term position to cover a career break.
It is a full time post of 32 hours per week.
Applicants for the position must demonstrate:
1. An excellent understanding of the role of the Special Needs Assistant, as per Circular 30/2014 and other relevant circulars from the Department of Education and Youth, and the NCSE toolkit
2. An awareness of how to support pupils with epilepsy, Autism, behaviours of concern, medical and physical needs would be beneficial
