This job is advertised as a 0.33 post. In the coming year, these hours would be on Monday and Friday, but this may change in the future.
The minimum required standard of education for appointment to this post is A FETAC Level 3 major qualification on the National Framework of Qualifications OR a minimum of three grade Ds in the Junior Certificate OR Equivalent.

The appointment is subject to the SNA meeting any specific competencies and/or requirements to meet the special educational needs of the pupil(s). This will require an interview process to ascertain. This is also subject to the checking and verification of References, meeting any Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) requirements and satisfactory Garda vetting. The SNA must agree to respect the ethos of the employer in question.

Please note it would be an advantage if applicant’s possess sufficient competences in the following areas:

1. Providing assistance with communication difficulties and comprehension skills.
2. Providing assistance with social and emotional difficulties.
3. Are proficient with assistive technology
4. Providing assistance in creating a programme under the direction of the teacher, in developing social and integration skills. Implementing said programmes such as ASD, ADHD, ODD, Dyslexia.
5. Promoting educational and social integration within the school community.
