Portmarnock Community School is a thriving Dublin Community School with a proud tradition of inclusion, academic excellence, and a holistic approach to education. We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly skilled Teacher of English and Geography to cover a period of maternity leave, commencing in September 2026.
This is a temporary post for the duration of the maternity leave. The ideal candidate brings deep subject expertise, high expectations, and a genuine commitment to the success of every student in a diverse, inclusive classroom. A collegial spirit and willingness to contribute to the wider school community are essential. This is a temporary post for the duration of the maternity leave and does not attract a Contract of Indefinite Duration. This appointment is subject to Department of Education and Youth (DEY) approval and the terms and conditions of the relevant Department circulars. The successful candidate must be registered with, or eligible for registration with, the Teaching Council of Ireland. Garda vetting is required in accordance with the National Vetting Bureau Acts 2012–2016.
