An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Holy Family is a vibrant special school which caters for deaf and hard of hearing pupils from age 3 in the early intervention classes to age 18 at Post Primary.

Criteria for Application
Essential: Applicants must have the minimum qualification necessary for appointment as a Special Needs Assistant, which is an award of Grade D (or pass) in Irish, English and Mathematics in the Intermediate Certificate/Junior Certificate or the Day Vocational Certificate Examination or in an examination of equivalent standard.
Desirable:
Competence in Irish Sign Language ISL
QQI qualifications in additional/special needs
Experience working with children in a deaf education setting.
Experience of working in a special school/special class setting and/or other relevant qualifications/courses e.g. first aid or any other relevant CPD
An ability and willingness to work in collaboration with other members of the school community as a team.
Ability to work flexibly and on own initiative to solve day to day issues.
I.T. Skills (Microsoft Word, Use of iPad/Laptop, Chromebook, Email & Internet Searches)
