An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Suitable candidates must be energetic, enthusiastic and have excellent communication and ICT as well as written skills.
They will work closely with the class teachers and school team to support pupils’ learning, communication, social development, independence, and regulation, including supporting care needs. Experience working with students who have complex behaviour care needs is desirable. Knowledge of the role of SNA as per Department of education circular is essential.

SNA Level 6 or similar qualifications are desirable.

Appointment is subject to current Garda Vetting and Occupational Health Screening.
It is a requirement to hold a valid Statutory Declaration and to complete the Form of Undertaking for this position.
