Scoil Mháthair Dé is a Catholic mainstream school with special classes under the patronage of the Bishop of Limerick, Brendan Leahy. The school seeks to appoint an Administrative Principal beginning on 1st September 2026.
The present teaching staff is comprised of 16 Mainstream Class teachers, 4 Special Class teachers, 8 SETs and 8 SNAs.
Staff work in a thriving inclusive and diverse community where every pupil is encouraged and supported to develop and achieve their full potential. The school team strive to ensure that every child is treated fairly, with respect, affording each pupil the opportunity to succeed to the best of their ability.

The roles and responsibilities for the advertised post are outlined in the four domains of Leadership and Management as per Circular 44/2019:
1. Leading Teaching and Learning
2. Managing the Organisation
3. Leading School Development
4. Developing Leadership Capacity

Candidates should demonstrate:
- an understanding of and commitment to the ethos of a Catholic primary school
-a commitment to and evidence of continuing and relevant professional development especially in the area of school leadership
-proven ability to work as part of a team and to foster leadership in others

Candidates called for interview will be required to provide proof of qualifications and Teaching Council registration. The appointment will be subject to current vetting requirements and occupational health screening.
