An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
We are inviting applications for a permanent 0.33 Special Needs Assistant position in our school. These hours will be worked over four days a week, but may change to meet the needs of the school.
The successful candidate must be able to work effectively as part of a team and show initiative, be flexible and have a strong work ethic. They will work closely with the class teachers and school team to support pupils’ learning, communication, social development, independence, and regulation, including supporting care needs.
Experience in special education and supporting regulation in a trauma informed approach is desirable. Good knowledge and understanding of our Educate Together Ethos is important.
Appointment is also subject to current vetting requirements, occupational health screening and satisfactory references. Completion of Children First training is a requirement for the successful candidate.
