We are inviting applications for a permanent Special Needs Assistant position in our Autism Class.

The successful candidate must be able to work effectively as part of a team and show initiative, be flexible and have a strong work ethic. They will work closely with the class teacher and school team to support pupils’ learning, communication, social development, independence, and regulation, including supporting behaviours of concern and/or care needs.
Experience in autism, special education and supporting regulation and behaviours of concern is desirable.

Appointment is also subject to current vetting requirements, occupational health screening and satisfactory references. Completion of Children First training is a requirement for the successful candidate.
