An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This is a part time SNA position (0.33 post).
The successful candidate will be involved in supporting children in our mainstream classes. Duties of the post are as outlined in the Department of Education Skills 0030/2014 and other relevant circulars. The post is subject to continued NCSE allocation and SENO review.
Applicants must demonstrate the specific competencies and requirements to meet the special educational and care needs of children. Candidates are required to have minimum qualifications as set out by the DES Circular 0051/2019, though having Fetac Level 5/6 in SEN or other relevant qualifications in areas such as First Aid certification is desirable.
Candidates must be able to work well as part of a team, be flexible, display a strong work ethic, demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training, respect the ethos of the school and be willing to work under the direction of the class teachers, SET Co-Ordinator and school Principal. .
