St Michael's Special School caters for pupils, aged 5-18 years of age, who on enrolment, and subject to psychological assessment, have a diagnosis of a Mild General Learning Disability. Many of our pupils have a dual diagnosis.
We are seeking a Post-Primary Teacher to work as part of a dynamic and collaborative team providing education to the pupils of St Michael's Special School. Experience of working in a school and a genuine interest in working with pupils with special educational needs to help them achieve their full potential is extremely important. Previous experience of working in a special school is desirable.
St. Michael's Special School operates under the Primary Section of the Department of Education & Youth and, as such, rates of payment, hours of employment, school calendar, etc. are in accordance with the Primary Section.
Appointments are subject to satisfactory references, current Teaching Council registration, vetting requirements and Occupational Health screening.
