An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

St. Brigid’s National School is seeking substitute SNAs to work on a casual basis in our school (covering the absences of our SNAs here in the school). We are a Catholic co-ed school catering for children from Junior Infants to 6th Class, located in Greystones, Co. Wicklow. We have 16 mainstream classes and one special Class for children with Autism.

Experience and/or training in working with children with autism is desirable. All interested SNAs must be Garda Vetted through the school.

Once vetted, the substitute SNAs should be available to cover short term leaves (from 1day's leave upwards) in the school - both planned in advance, or at short notice.
