Castlelyons National School Board of Management wishes to appoint a taxi escort, commencing Tuesday 3rd February 2026, with initial duties for two pupils with additional needs from the Glanmire / Midleton area. The position is initially for 15 hours per week, with collection in the morning from the children's homes, to arrive at the school by c.9.20am and return in the afternoon, leaving the school at 3pm. Candidates should have good communication skills and need to be professional in their manner when dealing with pupils, parents & school staff. They will be responsible for the safety of the pupils on board the vehicle and will be required to assist the pupils getting in / out of the vehicle, securing seat belts etc. Experience of working with pupils with additional needs may be advantageous.
Appointment will be subject to Garda Vetting, obtaining a signed Statutory Declaration and reference checks. Salary scale and conditions of service will be in accordance with the regulations set out for bus / taxi escorts by the Department of Education & Youth.
