Whitegate National School is a co-educational Catholic primary school, with a teaching Principal and three other mainstream class teachers, 2 full time Special Education Teachers and 1 part time EAL Teacher, 2 full time SNAs and 1 part time SNA

The roles and responsibilities of this post relate to the four domains of leadership and management as specified in Circular 0044/2019:

1. Leading teaching and learning
2. Managing the organisation
3. Leading school development
4. Developing leadership capacity

Applicants should demonstrate:
• A commitment to supporting the Catholic ethos of the school.
• Candidates must have a recognised qualification to teach Religious Education in a Catholic primary school.

The appointment will be subject but not limited to:
• Satisfactory references
• Full registration with the Teaching Council with a minimum of 5 years teaching experience.
• Current vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening.
• Documentary evidence of qualifications.
