New Court Special School caters for students aged 5-18 with MGLD and additional needs.
Special class teacher required to cover maternity leave from mid January for Post primary students aged 15-17. This is a specified purpose contract. Experience in working with children with special education needs is desirable.
We are looking for a teacher who is inclusive, flexible and responsive to the needs of the children and the school. The ideal candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic and can work on their own initiative whilst making a positive contribution to their school team.
The successful candidate must be willing to undertake in-school training which relates to the needs of pupils and the school.
Some of the complex needs with which students present include autism, multiple disabilities, communication needs and sensory processing difficulties. Prior experience of supporting students with these special needs is desirable.
Appointment is subject to satisfactory Garda vetting and occupational health screening.
