Additional Information:
St. Mary’s Special School is inviting applications for a Part-Time Caretaker to provide cover during a period of long-term leave. This role involves 15–20 hours per week, with a daily start time of 7:30–8:00am.
The successful candidate will:
-Manage the morning opening of the building and ensure the school remains secure throughout the day, including locking up when required.
-Maintain a safe, tidy and welcoming school environment through general repairs, grounds care and key-holding duties. Practical experience in carpentry, plumbing and electrics is desirable.
-Support the school’s Health & Safety standards, assist with deliveries and liaise with contractors as needed.
-Contribute to a positive and supportive atmosphere by offering practical assistance to staff, pupils and visitors.
