This post is to cover maternity leave from 5th of January to the 26th of June 2026.
St. John's School is a special school; we educate students aged 4-18 with Mild, Moderate, and Severe to Profound intellectual disabilities. Many students have complex and co-occurring needs.
Experience of working with children/young adults with an Intellectual Disability and a co-occurring diagnosis such as autism or an assessed syndrome is an advantage.
We are interested in teachers who are passionate, caring and professional, and who will join our established team in making a difference in our learner's educational journey. The teacher will need to engage in patient handling training, crisis management training and epilepsy training. The teacher will work closely with and liaise with the school nurse, visiting teachers, CDNT therapists and other agencies.
