Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of the child while travelling to and from school.
Attend to the pupil's care needs, including assisting the child on and off the bus and securing appropriate seat belts.
Supervise and support the pupil during the journey, ensuring a calm and safe environment.
Liaise courteously and effectively with parents, school staff, and the bus driver.
Travel to and from an agreed pick-up and drop-off point to meet the school bus each day.

Requirements:
Experience working with children is essential.
An understanding of special educational needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
Ability to communicate and work professionally with parents and school staff.
Applicants must supply suitable character references.

All appointments are subject to Garda Vetting, an occupational health check, reference verification and completion of Tusla Chidlren First Training, in accordance with Department of Education guidelines. It is a requirement to hold a valid Statutory Declaration and to complete the Form of Undertaking for this position.

Terms of Employment:
Hours: Typically 2 hours per day to be confirmed approx 8:20am–9:20am and 2:45pm– 3:45pm, though routes may vary.
Hourly Rate: €15.66 per hour.
Bus Escorts are not paid during school holidays
