Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children while travelling to and from school.
Attend to pupils’ care needs, including assisting children into and out of the taxi and securing appropriate seat belts.
Supervise and support pupils during the journey, ensuring a calm and safe environment.
Liaise courteously and effectively with parents, school staff, and the bus driver.
Observes confidentiality in all aspects of work.
Is expected to participate in training which will be provided from time to time.

Morning 7.30am (1hr 30mins)
Pick up point: St. Mark's Boys National School, The Glen, Cork , T23P5FY
Route- Glanmire and Knocknaheeny and drop pupils to the school. 

Afternoon- 2.40pm (1hr 30mins)
Pick up point: St. Mark's Boys National School, The Glen, Cork , T23P5FY
Route- Glanmire and Knocknaheeny and return Taxi escort to the school. 

Requirements:
Experience working with children is essential.
An understanding of special educational needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
Ability to communicate and work professionally with parents and school staff.
Applicants must supply suitable character references.
Garda Vetting is mandatory.
Experience of working with children with epilepsy/ certification of administration of Buccolam advantageous. (Training will be provided to the successful applicant if required)

Terms of Employment:
Hours: Typically 3 hours per day to be confirmed approx 7:30am–9am and 2:40pm– 4.10pm, though routes may vary.
Hourly Rate: €15.66 per hour.
Bus Escorts are expected to work the school calendar year -Sept- June and are not paid during school holidays. 

The school is creating a panel of suitable candidates following a successful interview process for any new routes that may arise in the current school year.
