Behaviour and Wellbeing Facilitator
NCSE Behaviour and Wellbeing Facilitators work to deliver a multi-tiered model of teacher professional learning support in the area of behaviour for learning and wellbeing, prioritising special schools.
Behaviour and Wellbeing Facilitators are part of the NCSE Behaviour for Learning and Wellbeing Inclusion team, led by a Specialist Lead and National Development Lead. The team also includes seconded advisors who support primary, post primary and special schools to build capacity to include all students. This team provides support to schools on a nationwide basis.
These posts are based in Cork & Waterford/Wexford/Kilkenny and the successful candidates will support schools in these regions, with some nationwide travel. Behaviour and Wellbeing Facilitators will report to a Behaviour and Wellbeing Manager
Behaviour and Wellbeing Facilitators provide:
• Sustained support and guidance to build the capacity of schools to embed practices into teaching and school life that support all students
• Regular support, guidance and advice to schools; to include regular visits, TPL needs analysis and provision of school specific TPL, identified group sessions and communities of practice
• Support in the area of Teacher Professional Learning (TPL) on the national calendar, which provides guidance and support for teachers in the area of special educational needs (SEN) to enhance the quality of learning and teaching in relation to behaviour for learning and wellbeing
• Support to promote and facilitate the development and dissemination of inclusive approaches, strategies, interventions and systems in schools
• Support in the area of behaviour for learning and well-being which addresses the multifaceted and holistic needs of students, in line with NCSE Relate
• Facilitation skills for communities of practice for special schools to foster relationships, collaboration and professional learning communities
• Collaboration with other support services, to include NCSE teams and external stakeholders and service providers.

NCSE are now establishing panels of qualified applicants, to fill current and anticipated Behaviour and Wellbeing Facilitator vacancies which may arise in Cork & Waterford/Wexford/Kilkenny.
