Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Principal Teacher for Scoil Bhríde, Shantalla Road, Galway, H91 VW59,
Roll No: 17782E.

Scoil Bhride is a Catholic co-educational Urban DEIS Band 1 school under the patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Galway, Kilfenora and Kilmacduagh.
This is a permanent position appointed through open competition in line with Circular 0044/2019.
The ideal candidate will:
1. Lead teaching and learning
2. Manage the organisation.
3. Lead school development.
4. Develop leadership capacity.
The successful candidate will be an experienced educational leader who can demonstrate:
A commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school.
An understanding and commitment to DEIS planning, pastoral care, parental. involvement and the promotion of positive behaviour strategies.
A willingness to work collaboratively and foster positive relationships with all staff members, Board of Management, parents/guardians and the wider school community.
A willingness and ability to work in partnership with external agencies.
An in-depth knowledge of the Primary Curriculum and a broad range of teaching experience.
A good working knowledge of special education needs and of inclusion and diversity in education.
A commitment to and evidence of continuing and relevant professional development.
Knowledge and capacity to successfully lead and administer a school.
