An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The bus escort is responsible for the safety of the pupil on board the bus and will be required to assist them getting on and off the bus and securing appropriate seatbelts.

Experience working with children with autism and complex needs is desirable but not essential. Candidates will be expected to deal with parents and school staff in a professional way, they will need to communicate regarding pick ups/drop offs, illnesses, traffic, delays etc.
Appointment is subject to garda vetting and appropriate character references.
