St. Luke's NS are seeking to appoint 1 taxi escort commencing on the 27th of August 2025. The escort will accompany a pupil on specialised transport (taxi) from their homes to and from school.

The successful applicant will be picked up by the taxi at the school in the morning, travel to the child's home to pick them up and accompany them to school. For afternoon drop off, the successful applicant will accompany the child from the school in the taxi, drop them off at home and the taxi will return the escort to the school.

The escort is responsible for the safety of the pupil and will be required to assist them getting into and out of the taxi and securing appropriate seatbelts.

Experience working with children with autism is desirable. Candidates will be expected to deal with parents and school staff in a professional way, they will need to communicate regarding pick ups/drop offs, illnesses, traffic, delays etc.

Appointment is subject to garda vetting and appropriate character references.

Salary is €15.66 per hour processed fortnightly during during school term time. The route will take approximately 2hrs per day.
