Eolas Breise:
This position is for a class teacher in a Special Class for children with Autism established in September 2024. It is a fixed-term post for this academic year 2025-26. There are 6 pupils and 2 SNA's in the classroom.
The following experience and qualifications are highly desirable:
• Experience of teaching children in a Special Class setting
• Knowledge and experience of Autism, ADHD, PDA and Behaviours of Concern
• Interest and experience in the integration of children into mainstream classes
In order to be eligible for appointment, candidates must hold a recognised qualification in Primary Education, satisfactory references, a certificate to teach Religion, Garda Vetting, Teaching Council registration and Occupational Health screening.
Candidates must be flexible, a good communicator and skilled in working as part of a school team.
Applications will be accepted by email only up to 3pm on the closing date. Interviews will be held on Tuesday August 19th.
