An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The Board of Management of Whitecross NS initially advertised this permanent vacancy on www.staffroom.ie on the 25th day of July, 2025 for teachers listed on the Supplementary Panel for the Diocese of Meath. The closing date for receipt of expressions of interest was the 29th day of July, 2025.
The closing date for submission of expressions of interest from teachers on the relevant Supplementary Panel was extended by advertisement on www.staffroom.ie to the 31st day of July, 2025.
The Board of Management is now proceeding to fill this permanent vacancy through open competition.
