The Board of Management initially advertised this permanent vacancy on this website on the 21st day of July, 2025 seeking expressions of interest for teachers listed on the Supplementary Panel for the Diocese of Limerick. The closing date for receipt of expressions of interest was the 28th day of July, 2025. The closing date for submission of expressions of interest from teachers on the relevant Supplementary Panel was extended by advertisement on this website to the 29th day of July, 2025. The Board of Management is now proceeding to fill this permanent vacancy through open competition. Teachers who may have applied for a Fixed Term Position in the school need to re-apply for this position if interested.

The Board of Management wishes to invite applications for one permanent vacancy, with initial duties in ASD classes and/or classes for children with Mild General Learning Disabilities at primary and post primary levels from Primary Qualified Teachers. Application should be posted to the Chairperson of the Board of Management at the following address: Catherine McAuley Special School, Ashbourne Avenue, Limerick V94 AW98 by the 15th August 2025.
Catherine McAuley Special School caters for pupils with Mild General Learning Disabilities at both primary and post primary levels. The school has 28 classes in total of pupils with
learning needs.
Appointment will be subject to current vetting requirements and occupational health screening.
