The Growing Tree childcare facility in Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon is currently recruiting for two Part-Time Early Years Educators to join the team:

The Early Years Educator will assist in the planning and implementation of an age appropriate stimulating programme of activities underpinned by Aistear and Síolta and the teachings of a play-based curriculum. They will guide, observe, stimulate and supervise children in a safe and caring environment as part of the team, will work in close co-operation with the Manager and the other team members, will act, if required as a key worker to specified children, and ensure the safety, security and well-being of all children in their care.

The successful applicant will be required to work as part of a team and have:
• Minimum Level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education is essential
• Minimum 1 years’ experience in Childcare setting is desirable but not essential 
• Competent in consideration of the needs of children 
• Good Communication and relating to skills with children, staff and parents 
• Up to date knowledge of legislation and regulations  
• Updated Children’s first safeguarding regulations and reporting procedures 
• Satisfactory references and Garda vetting will be required prior to employment

Part-time ECCE contracts available
Salary: €14 per hour, with increase to €15 per hour following successful completion of probationary period
Annual Leave: 21 days p.a.+ 3 Additional Co. Allocated Leave Days, on a pro-rata basis
