This is permanent full time position.
The successful applicant will be required to work in a mix of Autism classes and Mainstream classes.
Experience working with pupils with Autism and communication difficulties is required.
Candidates must demonstrate practical experience with promotion of positive behaviour strategies as well as ability to work well within a team and display a strong work ethic.
Evidence of CPD in the area of Special Education is advantageous as well as displaying a commitment to ongoing CPD engagement.
Experience of working in a special school/special class setting and other relevant qualifications/courses as well as distinct knowledge in TEACCH, Lámh, PECS and Boardmaker is beneficial.
Experience of working with children with diabetes or training in diabetes is beneficial.
Candidates shortlisted for interview will be asked to bring copies of their qualifications to the interview.
