An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

This is for a job share position on a week on/week off basis for the 2025/2026 school year.
The successful applicant will be required to have experience in both Autism classes and mainstream settings.
Significant experience working with pupils with ASD and communication difficulties is required.
Candidates must demonstrate practical experience with promotion of positive behaviour strategies as well as ability to work well within a team and display a strong work ethic.
Evidence of CPD in the area of Special Education is advantageous as well as displaying a commitment to ongoing CPD engagement.
Experience of working in a special school/special class setting and other relevant qualifications/courses as well as distinct knowledge in TEACCH, Lámh, PECS and Boardmaker is beneficial.
Experience working with pupils with diabetes or having training in diabetes is beneficial.
Candidates will have experience working with pupils with ADHD/Autism in the mainstream setting.
