An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
There is 1 Specific-Purpose Temporary teaching position to be filled through this process, if criteria at interview is met.
St. Hilda's is a special school; we educate students aged 4-18 with Moderate, and Severe to Profound I.D. Many students have complex needs.
This role is best suited to experienced teachers, or newly qualified teachers with a strong passion and demonstratable commitment to Special Education.
Applicants should have experience of working with children/young adults with ASD, Moderate I.D. epilepsy, ADHD, as well as children/young adults with physical disabilities, medical, and personal care needs. Experience in using LÁMH and PECS is desirable. Applicants should have training, knowledge, and experience of managing behaviours of concern.
Initial duties are for 1 student presenting with moderate/S/P GLD/ASD and complex needs.
