Additional Information:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Appointment will be subject to Teaching Council Registration, current Garda Vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening.
Experience of teaching children with ASD in a primary special class or special school setting is desired.
The successful candidate will be required to collaborate with class teachers and other professionals to ensure an inclusive learning environment.
A great understanding of autism and experience of managing challenging behaviours is preferable.
An interest in STEAM would be advantageous.
