An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Mahoonagh NS is a Catholic School. The successful candidate must hold the appropriate Certificate to teach Catholic Religious Education. Mahoonagh National School is a mixed, Catholic school with two Autism classes. These vacancies are both for a one-year Fixed Term contract.
There is a mainstream position and an Autism class position. Positions are subject to change at the discretion of the Principal at any stage. Experience of teaching children with Autism in a primary special class or special school setting is desirable. A great understanding of autism and experience of managing challenging behaviours is preferable. Applicants should be diligent, enthusiastic, highly organised & innovative teachers who are willing to get involved in our whole school community and contribute to the overall development of the school.
Essential Minimum requirements:
~Standard Application Form Only must be filled out.
~Applications must be accompanied by the contact details of a minimum of 3 professional referees. Referees must be available during holiday period.
~The Closing date for the receipt of applications is 23rd June at 3pm Candidates will be invited to interview via email only.
Appointment will be subject to occupational health screening, Teaching Council Registration and current Garda Vetting requirements and satisfactory references.
