This post will be filled in accordance with Department of Education guidelines and circulars, medical fitness, reference checking and Vetting disclosure from the National Vetting Bureau.
Criteria for this position are as follows:
1. The minimum qualification necessary for appointment as a Special Needs Assistant as per DES Circular 51/2019.
2. Knowledge and experience of working with autistic students in a Special Class and in Mainstream, Moderate Learning Difficulties, SEBD, ODD, ADHD and Dyspraxia is desirable.
3. An additional qualification in additional/special needs care and/or education, including autism or a related area is advantageous.
