Copperfield International School in Verbier seeks a dedicated and inspiring individual to join our leadership team as Head of Residential Life. Situated in the stunning Swiss Alps, Copperfield is a vibrant and innovative international school offering a holistic education to pupils aged 3-18. Our boarding programme caters to students aged 11-18, providing a unique environment for their personal and academic development.
This pivotal role combines leadership in boarding life with the delivery of a comprehensive weekend programme, fostering an environment where pupils flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a House Parent in our boarding house for students aged 11-18, creating a warm, safe, and supportive home environment.
Develop and oversee a full weekend programme, including trips, activities, and events that promote personal growth and wellbeing.
Collaborate with the academic team to support the holistic development of each student.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding and pastoral care standards.
Candidate Profile:
Experience in boarding school leadership or pastoral roles is essential.
Proficiency in French is an advantage, supporting communication in our bilingual setting.
The ability to teach an academic subject is highly desirable, contributing to the wider life of the school.
Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with a commitment to student welfare and holistic education.
Enthusiasm for outdoor activities and the opportunities provided by Verbier’s unique environment.
