St. Joseph’s Special School is designated as a special school for students 5-18 years of age who have been assessed as being in the Mild General Learning Disability Range. Many of our students would have additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, Social Emotional and Behavioural Needs and /or Behaviours that Challenge. Experience of working in a special school environment and/or with students with Autism would be desirable and beneficial but not essential.
Primary aged students follow the Primary curriculum
This post is initially for the Primary section of the school for a junior class of 6 students with the support of an Special Needs Assistant.
