St. Ita’s Special National School, Drogheda is a school for pupils with a Mild and high Moderate general learning disability and multiple disabilities including Autism, ADHD, hearing and visual impairment. There are currently 22 teachers and 26 SNAs in the school. The school caters for children from 5 to 18 years of age.
There are 5 permanent positions and 1 Fixed Term until the end of August 2025.
We believe that co-operation, courtesy and team work are essential for an effective school and for the personal and educational development of our pupils.
We are looking for teachers who show interest in each of our student's educational and personal development. The successful candidate will have the necessary skills to work with pupils who have complex profiles. These appointments requires somebody who demonstrates flexibility, is a team player, has a calm disposition, is confident in dealing with behaviours that challenge, has excellent teaching and learning skills and shows initiative.
