An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Ballycar N.S invites applications from highly dedicated candidates for the position of SNA in a mainstream multi class. This is a part-time post (16hours). We are looking for someone with good communication skills who can be flexible, patient and responsive to the needs of the children and the school. The ideal candidate is someone who is energetic, enthusiastic and can contribute to our team and work on their own initiative.
Candidates must be willing to undertake courses which relate to the needs of the children and the school. Experience and or training in working with children with ASD and complex needs, emotional and behavioural difficulties is desirable.
Please outline in your letter of application how your skills and experience meet the requirements of the job description. Appointment is subject to current Garda vetting requirements and occupational health screening.
